The restaurant welcomes you every day of the week from midday to 11pm. The Takana has three different venues to suit different weather conditions, events and special functions. You can choose between an indoor restaurant-bar, which overlooks the garden through large arches, eating alfresco under the cool shade of a cabana hut, or dining by the pool-side.In the evening, the atmosphere is generally more cosy, but soon livens up with dinner concerts or themed evening functions.

Le chef offers a varied menu, with a wide selection of both seafood and meat. Our fine dining cuisine includes mouth-watering dishes with both mild and exotic flavours and aromas. Meat lovers will appreciate the marinated or grilled Zebru skewers, infused with a thousand ethnic herbs and spcies. As for seafood, some of our signature dishes are not to be missed. Depending on the catch of the day, they include tender shark fillets marinated in basil sauce or our delicious sea-urchin omelette. Our seafood is generally sourced from the small fishing port of Ngaparou, located about 450 metres away, while we are assured of fresh organic fruit and vegetables through local suppliers.

Traditional Senegalise dishes generally require long preparation time and are therefore available on demand. However, on certain evenings, you can sample dishes such as our delicious Yassa chicken, or a Tiep Bou Dienn (the national Senegalise dish of fish and rice) or a millet couscous at our very reasonably priced themed buffet.

Located in the middle or the restaurant, our bar is open every day from 11am till midnight, serving you drinks wherever you may be, whether at the cabana hut, the bowling/boules ? alley or lying at the edge of the pool.

Our menu includes a wide range of nectars, including Bissap juice as well as seasonal fruit cocktails. Make sure you try our speciality, the delicious non-alcoholic mango 'Takana' cocktail, and make the most of our daily Happy Hour from 6pm to 8pm.

As well as our bar and restaurant/bar, the Takana Snackbar is open till 11:30 pm, and specialises in take-aways with a simpler menu and fresh non-alcoholic drinks. It is ideally located for festive occasions, shows and a quick outdoor meal, with dishes such as meat and fish BBQ/grills, mechoui and a variety of skewers all prepared before your eyes.

On the weekend, in high season, the Snack-bar remains open late into the night, to cater for night-revellers coming out of the Night Club.
